    First of all, looking at the overall sales situation, the total sales volume of various types of excavators in March 2024 was 24,980 units, a year-on-year decrease of 2.34%. This shows that the excavator market has slowed down compared with the same period last year, which may be due to the combined impact of changes in market demand, cyclical industry fluctuations or policy adjustments and other factors.

 

    However, further analyzing the data, we found that the domestic market and export market showed different trends. In the domestic market, excavator sales were 15,188 units, a year-on-year increase of 9.27%. This growth shows that the domestic market demand for excavators is still strong, which may be due to continued investment in infrastructure construction, real estate development and other fields as well as the steady recovery of the domestic economy.

 

    In contrast, the situation in export markets is less than satisfactory. In March 2024, the export volume of excavators was 9,792 units, a year-on-year decrease of 16.2%. This shows that the sales of excavators in the international market have encountered challenges and may be affected by changes in the global trade situation, fluctuations in international market demand, and competitors.

 

    In addition, it is worth noting that the overall sales data from January to March 2024 also showed a downward trend. A total of 49,964 excavators were sold, a year-on-year decrease of 13.1%. Among them, domestic sales fell by 8.26% year-on-year, and export sales fell by 17.9% year-on-year. This suggests that the excavator market faced some pressure throughout the quarter.

 

    Finally, regarding the sales of electric excavators, a total of 12 units were sold in March 2024. Although the overall number is relatively small, the sales data of electric excavators as an emerging environmentally friendly product shows that there is a certain demand for them in the market. With the increasing awareness of environmental protection and the continuous development of new energy technologies, the electric excavator market is expected to be further expanded in the future.

 

    To sum up, in March 2024, the excavator market showed a trend of domestic growth and export decline. At the same time, the electric excavator market also showed certain potential. For excavator manufacturing companies, they need to pay close attention to market dynamics and flexibly adjust market strategies to respond to market changes and challenges.
